Expected Night-Viewing Dates, Next 12 Months
Night viewing runs on the night of the full moon and the two nights either side of it, except on Fridays and during the month of Ramzan. Places are limited and tickets are sold separately by the Archaeological Survey of India.

The Rules That Do Not Change
Closed every Friday. The mosque inside the complex holds Friday prayers, so the Taj Mahal is closed to visitors all day. Agra Fort, Itimad-ud-Daulah and the other monuments stay open, so a Friday in Agra is still a full day.

Where to Eat Before or After
Tajnuma is a pure vegetarian Mughlai restaurant on Fatehabad Road in Tajganj, the neighbourhood around the Taj Mahal. We open at 12:00 pm, so lunch after a morning visit, and serve until midnight — late enough for dinner after night viewing.
